I’d like to be 100% clear.
Pull up a chair.
I have not now, nor have I EVER, thrown myself at any alleged offender.
EVER.
Power does not work that way people.
The powerful eat the powerless.
The bigger eat the smaller.
Not the other way around.
I am literally a NOBODY.
Nobodies don’t eat somebodies.
I grew up dirt poor.
I mean poorer than dirt.
I took my first job at 11.
ELEVEN.
I pulled weeds.
I have WORKED before it was legal to work.
I have NEVER attempted to contrive money from
ANYONE.
EVER.
I have been offended against since I was a 4 – 40.
Sexually.
Physically.
Emotionally.
Psychologically.
Abuse that toyed with torture.
Even so I finished high school, then college, then university
— now I am in grad school.
I did not have a mother.
But I did had a violently abusive step mother and a sex offender father.
Even so, I became a mother who has loved and cared for my children as well as other peoples children.
I am a PERSON.
A PERSON TO WHOM THINGS HAPPENED.
Whenever one door to an offender closed – a window opened.
Repeatedly.
I finally learned to close them all.
I have a security system complete with cameras, and I live in a life filled with patrol officers.
I am NOT who or what you have said I am.
If that knowledge makes you uncomfortable or confronts a belief you have about a beloved… So be it.
I am beloved to several someones too.
